Alex is one of the most friendly people you will ever meet. We always joke that he could make friends with a wall because he has this natural charisma that draws everyone to him, and once he has chosen you as one of his people, he is the most loyal friend you’ll ever have. He has brought so much joy to my life and he can truly make the sweetest lemonade out of the most sour lemon. He inspires me to be a better person and loves so deeply and selflessly. I am so excited to get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend.

The first thing I noticed about Anna was her smile and the freckles across her face. She has this quiet confidence about her, driven, focused, and deeply committed to becoming the best version of herself. What drew me in wasn’t just that she’s beautiful. It was that she could hold a real conversation. From our very first date, we talked for hours about the kids we work with and the people we care about. She doesn’t just listen, she engages.

Anna cares fiercely about helping others. When she loves, she loves with intention. She works for the things that matter to her. She doesn’t run from growth; she leans into it. That’s when I knew I didn’t just like her, I respected her.

Most people don’t see it right away, but she’s warmer and friendlier than she lets on at first. When she’s nervous, she fidgets. When she’s overwhelmed, she wants a tight hug and a little reassurance. When she’s happy, she does these “happy hands” that make me smile every time.

She challenges me. She teaches me patience. She listens when I talk about something important, and in doing so, she makes me feel safe. Even when her faith has been tested, she holds onto it. That steadiness is one of the things I admire most about her.
She sees me, not just my past, not just my struggles, but me.

Our Love Story

Alex and I met in May of 2024 and immediately became best friends. What I remember most from our first date is that he made me laugh. I felt so comfortable and we spent hours together talking about the kids we work with. I got to tell him all about the girls I worked with and he went on and on about the kids he worked with at the schools as a substitute. I fell in love with the passion he has for people, especially kids, and the time flew by so fast. In fact, the only reason our first date ended was because I had to go to work, and we were already planning our next date before the first one had ended. He met my brothers between the first and second (official) date and I knew I had found someone special when I watched how he was with them. On our second date, he told me he was going to marry me. Of course I didn’t believe him at the time, but the rest is history.

On November 28, 2025, he popped the question, and of course I said yes.

We have had so many adventures since we met, but our relationship has always been strong. More than anything, Alex is my best friend. I know I can tell him anything and we are constantly laughing with one another. We are always teasing and poking at each other, and we rarely take anything seriously. I’ve loved getting to watch him grow closer to my parents and siblings and he has helped to bring me closer to them as well.
